ABOUT CNF

Since 1962, the Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) has invested more than $12 million in over 1,800 nurses, nurse researchers and nursing students to advance nursing practice and knowledge in Canada.

The Canadian Nurses Foundation is helping to narrow the gap from both a financial and inclusionary perspectives. In 2021, they launched the CNF Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Fund. As a result, in 2022, they provided 35 new scholarships with a focus on funding students from and/or researching underrepresented communities.

On November 17, 2022, the Canadian Nurses Foundation was proud to present The Night Shift, a blowout bash at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa dedicated to Lighting Up The Night for Canadian nurses and raising funds for nursing scholarships and research with a special focus on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Miami inspired evening featured CTV’s Stefan Keyes as the MC and an electric playlist provided by DJ StokeS along with interactive installations, a raffle for nurses, and special guests including Canada’s Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Leigh Chapman.

This event was the foundations largest and most highly anticipated annual fundraiser and marked the return to in-person events after two years of hosting the event virtually in order to continue raising critical funds to support nurses from coast to coast to coast.
