CNF 2021 MASKERAIDE GALA

For the second year in a row, The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) took their fundraising gala virtual to celebrate nurses across Canada and raise more than $225,000 to advance nursing knowledge and research.

The 2021 Maskeraide focused on generating awareness around five key areas: Immunization, Nursing Shortages, Mental Health, Seniors Care, and Indigenous Health.

Hosted by ETALKs Traci Melchor, the event that took place on October 28th was able to embrace all Canadians from coast to coast to coast, featuring performers including Naoya Ebe from The National Ballet of Canada, Toronto’s singer-songwriter Domanique Grant, Inuk singer-songwriter Susan Aglukark, Yukon’s Bhangra dancer Gurdeep Pandher, and East Coast cover band Second Toe.

The program also included messages from Prime Minister Trudeau, William Shatner, Chris Hadfield, Lainey Lui & Jessica Allen from The Social and a special award presentation to Michael Bublé.

The evening started with the VIP Canapés with Crawford – an exclusive pre-show cooking experience with Chef Lynn Crawford and wine pairing with Head Winemaker Adam Pearce from Two Sisters Vineyards.

During the program we spotlighted #ThankANurse nominees who were part of a larger nomination campaign that saw over 400+ nurses nominated this year.

Attendees were also able to enjoy a virtual photobooth, video networking tables and had the opportunity to bid on exciting auction items to raise money for the nursing community.
