ABOUT CNF

Over the past 50 years, CNF has invested more than $12 million to advance nursing practice and knowledge and is has awarded scholarships, bursaries and research grants to more than 1,800 Canadian nurses and nursing students.

Recently, efforts have been focused on two key pillars. Firstly, supporting Indigenous nurses to achieve positive health care outcomes in Indigenous communities, with educational advancement opportunities being provided to over 170 Indigenous nurses to date. Secondly, recognizing the needs for aging and seniors care and supporting the key role nurses play in helping patients and their families facing these challenges to continue to lead productive lives.

ABOUT THE NIGHT SHIFT

The 2023 CNF Night Shift built on the success of the inaugural event in 2022, providing an opportunity to thank and celebrate nursing communities while raising critical funds to support nursing education in Canada. Hosted in Ottawa, the event featured special remarks from government figures such as Dr. Leigh Chapman, Chief Nursing Officer of Canada, and other leaders in the healthcare space.

CTV’s Stefan Keyes returned as the dynamic host of the evening alongside DJ StokeS, lighting up the stage and dance floor together as nurses were recognized with exciting raffle prizes and funds were raised through a 50/50 draw.
